“The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be.” —Marcel Pagnol (via kari-shma)

I wonder how many people ever really notice that when asked how I’m doing, I give a short answer and inquire more about how they are doing instead.

I wonder why I like to keep myself so private.

“He who knows his soul knows this truth: “I am beyond everything finite; I now see that the Spirit, alone in a space with Its ever-new joy, has expressed Itself as the vast body of nature. I am the stars, I am the waves, I am the Life of all, I am the laughter within all hearts, I am the smile on the faces of the flowers and in each soul. I am the Wisdom and Power that sustain all creation.” —Paramhansa Yogananda (via yogaprivatelessons)

misspaprika:

i find it interesting the gender stereotyping that is associated with yoga. to many, it’s viewed as a woman’s sport/activity, and the idea of men practicing it is weak and feminine. even when explained about the health benefits, i’ve found that most males still refuse to give it a second thought….

 beautifully written! xx
