“… .stopping the war with what is, making love to the world, means making a commitment to following the movement that arises from the deep stillness that acceptance allows, even when others may think our choices are crazy. After all, doesn’t all great love-making, the kind that takes our breath away with the fire of its passion & the beauty of its tenderness, require letting go of worrying about how we look or what the neighbours may think when they hear us moaning in ecstasy? To make love passionately to the world or another we must learn to see without judgement the one with whom we make love- the human man or woman we touch, ourselves as we are right now, & this world today just as it is- accurately & compassionately. We have to be willing to surrender to the heat that can carry us into a deeper union, to the awareness that is beyond thought, to the being at the center of what we are & letting our essence shape how we touch and respond to being touched.”

“Thoughts are just what is. They appear. They’re innocent. They’re not personal. They’re like the breeze or the leaves on the trees or the raindrops falling. Thoughts arise like that, and we can make friends with them. Would you argue with a raindrop?”
